A small lake on Chuwhels Mountain

Directions:

• On the Lac le Jeune Road just across from Stake Lake, turn west onto the Chuwhels Mountain Road.    Go under the Coquihalla Highway and follow the gravel road for 3 km to Lodgepole Lake.
• The road is signed to the BC Rec Site on the lake.
• There is a signed boat launch in the campground area.    There are other informal launch spots along the lake.

Shoreline:

• The campsite is at the west end of the lake.
• The road is on the north side of the lake and the rest of the lakeshore is forested.
• It is 1.3 km around the lake.
• Much of the lake is shallow.

Pros:

• A good road, lots of parking, and a good boat launch.
• A quiet spot on non-prime times.
• There are some hiking trails around the lake too.

Cons:

• A small lake.
• Can be busy at prime times.
• A late ice-off time.
