Area/Directions/Launch:

  • It is possible to get to Red Lake by several routes, but the main route is from North Kamloops.
  • Follow the Tranquille – Criss Creek Road for about 30 kms, then turn left (south) on the signed Red Lake Road (sometimes called the Copper Creek or Carbine Road).

  • There is also an informal boat launch on the south corner of the lake.

  • Alternately, from Highway 1 just west of Savona, take the Sabiston Creek Road and follow it Red Lake.

The Lake:

  • Aquatic vegetation multiplies mid summer to fill

Pros

  • A scenic and peaceful lake.
