On a nice Sunday morning, I drove to Heffley Lake and launched from the northeast end near the Rec site.    There was no wind to start out.

From the south shore the view to the north was of Embleton Mountain.

On the lake were loons, ducks, geese, a heron, and many small birds.

I paddled almost all of the lake in just over 2 hours.
