Paddling Pass Lake
Pass Lake is usually a prime fishing spot and the BC Parks Campground is often busy, but Pass Lake suffered from winterkill and then the hot water encouraged algae growth so the lake was very quiet when I arrived for a paddle around the lake.
I paddled around the lake enjoying the peaceful forested lake in the hills to the northwest of Kamloops. It was a day for a paddle and a hike so I paddled around the lakeshore, then drove to the trailhead down the road. We paddle Pass Lake once a year. Here is a link to more information – Pass Lake.
